Concept Description:

Madison Modern Social is a destination dining experience for those looking to enjoy a delicious meal in a lively and sophisticated setting, and after dinner, the party continues in the main dining area transforming into a dining lounge playground vibe where DJs play the latest hits.

Interior Design Project Description:

The design for Madison Modern Social creates a stylish and sophisticated restaurant that can transform into a vibey lounge playground after dinner. Dueling bars, one in the main dining room and the other in the lounge offers guests options on their experience for the night, whether it’s with a date, a few friends or a large group.

Guests arrive into the main dining space where they’re greeted by a large oval bar clad in wood planking and stone top. A radial black and white tile floor creates a visual separation between the bar area and dining space, though the lines between the two spaces will get blurred through the night as the party amps up. A sweeping polished stainless steel bottle shelf hangs over the bar, suspended from a large I-beam in the ceiling creating a glowing beacon in the space.

The round shape of the bar adds some softness to the rectilinear room and also helps to promote interaction and a see-and-be-seen atmosphere. Forrest green tufted captain’s banquettes hug the walls and offer comfortable places for friends to gather but still feel like they’re part of the action at the bar. The DJ’s VIP table is centered on the back wall, the perfect spot to drive the vibe of the party through the night. Barstools in front of the DJ deck allows five lucky guests to have the best seat in the house, up close and personal with the mix-master.

The lounge area is a smaller more intimate space with a ‘mini’ version of the bar from the dining space. Adjacent the bar is the lounge offering guests a relaxing spot to sip a cocktail and chill by the freestanding mid-century modern fireplace. Large scale brown leather sofas and mixed fabric lounge chairs sit on worn oriental area rugs in rich jewel tones giving the space a residential feel and perfect spot to cozy up with a partner or gather with a group of friends.

Directly across from the bar is the lounge dining area, a more relaxed place to have a meal. A green leather banquette pulls the same color palate from the main dining area into this space connecting them visually but also creating a different vibe.

Further back in the lounge space and through two glowing liquor cabinets is the private dining room which can be used as additional dining space when the restaurant is busy or as a buy-out area for parties. Sliding metal and glass doors can separate the room and give guests privacy from the bar area when needed.
