Carlo’s Bakery Times Square

Concept Description:

Carlo’s Bakery comes to Times Square with Buddy “Cake Boss” Valastro at the center to greet New Yorkers and travelers alike. The family owned Carlo’s Bakery takes their signature custom cakes and homemade pastries on display at 1500 Broadway in the heart of Times Square. Drawing inspiration from the energy, people and experiences of the city, this location features a theatrical display of the master baker at work.

Project Description:

The Carlo’s Bakery Times Square location measures over 1,200 square feet (over 3,000 SQFT total) where guests can indulge on classic Italian baked goods and savory treats. Guests are immediately greeted by a larger than life sculpture of Buddy Valastro at work with his piping bag creating a flourish of glossy red icing that ribbons overhead in the 20′-0″ high space. Hand sculpted pastries float throughout the icing, showcasing the sweet details of sprinkles, chocolate chips and cannoli to name a few. A custom stone flooring with a contrasting light and dark pattern ground the iconic sculpture in the space.

For the overall palette in the space, white marble tile and brass metal shelves line the back counters with product display. NYC-themed neon signs embellish the walls with custom accents as a nod to the original Carlo’s Bakery in neighboring Hoboken, NJ. And don’t forget to check out Carlo’s Bakery merchandise at the NYC subway inspired retail shelving. Order with the Carlo’s Bakery team at the stone counter with walnut and white painted wood detailing. You can also try the self-order kiosk at the stone and brass metal eating counter looking out to Times Square Plaza.
