Concept Description:

NYC based Celano Design Studio Co., Buddy Valastro’s longtime design partner is excited to announce it is once again collaborating with the master baker in his home state of New Jersey. Celano Design Studio Co. and Buddy Valastro teamed up on a food destination at the Harrah’s Atlantic City combining iconic classic desserts from well-known Carlo’s Bakery and Italian sandwiches from The Boss Cafe in Las Vegas. Drawing inspiration from the history of the Atlantic City boardwalk and the energy of the seaside, this Buddy’s Boardwalk Empire location is slated to open Summer 2024.

Project Description:

Buddy’s Boardwalk Empire is a 3,250 square foot space set in the heart of the Harrah’s lobby and has an expansive storefront inspired by a stroll along the Atlantic City boardwalk. White wood paneling and hand painted iconic phrases frame the views into the space. A large red dome lighting sculpture anchor both entrances to the space and feature iconic marquee style signage. Metal and neon signs hover above the food counter to designate the offerings and highlight the making of fresh pasta and Jersey style sandwiches being prepared.

The space brings hints of the outdoor boardwalk sensibility to the interior with warm oak wood throughout, the seafoam blue lacquer counter fronts, a custom black & white mosaic pattern tile floor and outdoor cafe like furniture. White marble stone with a waterfall counter top detail create an elevated display for savory bites like bakery pizza slices and a feast for the eyes with the abundant display of fresh cakes and colorful bakery classics. Guests can order at one of two checkout counters that each showcase a custom sepia toned beach scene mural as a nod to the nostalgia of Atlantic City during the 1920s era.
